If oils aren’t typically a part of your lifestyle…..I’m so happy you’ve clicked on this post.
What’s better than having healthy natural skin and awesome hair? Not much.
Here are four oils that have changed my beauty routine and are worth every penny.
Rose Hair & Body Oil: OUAI
This is currently the only hair product I use (other than shampoo + conditioner and hairspray obviously). I get so many questions about what I do to keep my hair healthy and shiny and this is it! I use 3-4 pumps on my damp ends about twice a week. The scent is unbelievable & I wish there was a perfume version of this.
The Rose Oil is so versatile because you can use it on both hair and body. OMG does this make your legs shine! There’s nothing in this world I want more than glowy skin everyday and this has totally given me that.
Coconut Body Glow: KOPARI
The ultimate glow. Chances are if anything has coconut oil….I’m completely sold.
This vegan product is infused with coconut oil + shea butter and has flakes of gold glitter. It is the perfect amount of sparkle! Not too little that it disappears within minutes and not too much that it looks like you just came out of a strip club.
The sparkle lasts a couple of hours and the scent smells like beach paradise. This isn’t a product I wear every day because the oil is pretty thick. But it definitely looks great around the collarbone, shoulder and leg area on a hot sunny day. It gives your skin a healthy, happy glow!
Orchid Facial Oil: HERBIVORE
My experience with facial oils hasn’t been so great. Some of them (even high end brands) have made me breakout, but I decided to give this one a try because so many other bloggers kept raving about it.
Just because something is “high end” doesn’t mean it’ll truly work for you. If you’re going to splurge on a luxurious skincare product, do your research before.
Although pricey, the Orchid Oil is worth every penny.
It is all natural (100% plant based) and cruelty-free (yay!)
Its key ingredients are orchid extracts, camellia oil, jasmine sambac oil and squalane (derived from olives).
Aside from the adorable packaging and incredible scent, this stuff actually works! The lady at Sephora explained that an oil will go deeper into your pores and moisturize what a cream alone cannot. She mentioned how products that are labeled “For Sensitive Skin” will not lead toward breakouts.
Contrary to what most people believe, the oil soaks up fast and does not give off a greasy look.
I rub 2-3 drops on my hands and pat the product on my face in the morning and before going to sleep. (Note that I typically apply the oil on my hands first. Never apply an oil directly to the face.)
The Orchid Oil’s purpose: “To absorb easily to get moisture, vitamins, fatty acids, and antioxidants into your skin. Additionally, it forms a natural barrier to lock moisture in and protect against dryness and heat in the environment.“
ROSE GOLD ELIXIR: FASALI
If you’re looking for a dewy makeup look, this is perfect for you! I am a huge fan of the matte look but certainly need some glow every now and then. Similar to the Orchid oil, it is a fast absorbing, light-weight beauty oil infused with 24k gold, rosehip seed oil and pure botanicals.
The difference between the Elixir and the Orchid Oil: The elixir will give you a dewy look and the orchid oil will not. The herbivore product is better used as a moisturizer and the elixir for a glowy makeup look. They are both hydrating but I would not use the elixir during my nighttime routine.
