It’s my first post of October [yay]
It’s been a couple weeks since I’ve been able to get on here to write something (but i’m back & better!) Reason being: I’m staying away from overused topics [Fall Favorites] [Gift Guide] this season because they no longer appeal to me. I feel like I see the same thing over and over again and it’s been giving me mixed feelings about this whole “blogging” thing if we’re being honest.
So if that means having a little less content (because writers block, ya know) then…so be it! quality over quantity, am I right?
Ok anyway, in a matter of like 6-7 days, I’ve had two of my friends share that they absolutely hate wearing foundation. Which is honestly shocking + upsetting to me because I am a HUGE foundation fan. But of course, that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone and I totally get that.
A lot of people have trouble finding the right kind of “base” because there are just too many options and types. Types meaning: full-coverage foundation, skin tint, BB cream, tinted moisturizer, medium-coverage foundation, SPF products etc. etc.
Basically if you’re this person and WANT to find something natural looking, you just need a really good lightweight product.
I want to share 3 amazing foundation-like products that I’ve been using for “everyday looks” that I am loving!
I am living for this skincare brand because the prices are crazy affordable but work like other high end brands. I posted this little gem on my IG story the other day and got so many DMs asking about the foundation. Here’s everything I have to say about it
It’s light weight enough to wear every day
Light coverage but still covers a significant amount
Lasting power is average
Hate the packaging. It can get messy if you use the pump (but it’s only $6.70 so let’s not get bratty)
Sold online only on their website. Finding your shade can be super tricky but I matched my skin tone perfectly. I use shade 2.0 P
Cruelty-free + oil-free
You probably think i’m nuts for mentioning a MAC product in a “lightweight makeup” post. But if you’ve tried this foundation you’d know exactly what I mean. It’s a water-based foundation with sheer coverage. Meaning…it focuses more on glow as opposed to coverage. The product should be labeled “skin tint” because it’s really all it does.
I read someone’s review where they said they only use their hands to apply the foundation. Gross because you definitely need a brush for this. It is so watery that if you use only your hands you’ll 100% make a mess. I apply this directly to my face because it has an easy application and use a brush to blend.
Note: I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone with oily skin because of the glow effect
I was a total BB cream virgin until Erborian sent me a few of their products. BB cream is not something I’ve ever taken an interest in because I prefer a tinted moisturizer. But honestly speaking, it’s pretty much the same thing. I love this product because it’s super lightweight and has SPF. This is one I would recommend for someone who has oilier skin because of the matte finish.
