There’s been quite the revolution in the beauty industry these days and brands are straying away from using harsh chemicals and are more likely to use Cannabidiol, otherwise known as CBD.

So let’s get this out of the way first. I was completely turned off by anything CBD infused because I hadn’t properly researched and assumed it was closely related to THC (the compound that causes the “high”). I have never and will never take an interest in anything mind-altering or addicting. CBD is a totally safe & non-addictive substance known for its pain relief, anti-inflammatory properties and therapeutic profile. No harm in that.

Farmacy’s Better Daze Ahead CBD Moisturizer is the product that piqued my interest in cannabis-based beauty. The product is labeled as rich in hydration with omega-6 + omega-3 acids, hemp seed oil, stress-fighting adaptogens and CBD oil to help soothe, calm the skin and reduce redness.

I’ve been using Better Daze Ahead for about three weeks and my skin is absolutely loving it. What I like about this product is that it has no fragrance and just feels natural. There are a lot of moisturizers I’ve used (take Cetaphil for example) where you actually feel the harsh toxins seeping into your pores. The first time I used Cetaphil, I rubbed my eyes after applying their face cream and ohmygosh was that a painful experience for my eyes. Clearly, not a natural product.

I suffer from major under eye bags/puffy eyes if I don’t get enough sleep and found that CBD’s anti-inflammatory benefits help reduce the effects by gently tightening and reducing puffiness in the delicate area without causing any irritation. CBD can soothe a variety of skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. Cool, right?

The moisturizer is so versatile because it can be used in the morning + the evening and what’s great is that its non-greasy formula can be used before applying makeup. At night, I tend to use a little bit more of the product because if you rub it in enough, it almost works as a mask (you’ll know what I mean if you try the product).

Overall, my skin has been loving CBD and I’m so happy to have found a product that targets my under eye imperfections. I can’t wait to incorporate more of it into my everyday skincare routine and see what other benefits it brings. What are some of your favorite CBD infused products?
