6 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Happy Friday, peeps!

I wanted to answer some of the most popular questions I get every now and then. I think it’s good to get a little personal on here sometimes.

Let’s get started!

Question #1: Where do you get your hair color done?

This is easily the question I get asked the most. Finding a good hairstylist in Miami isn’t easy and the amount of horrible balayages I’ve seen is absurd. there, I said it. My hairdresser has been coloring my hair for over 4 years and I wouldn’t trade her for the world! There’s been times (like recently) when I freak out and think I have too much blonde but eventually it blends and turns out just how I want. My hairstylist and only human I trust with my hair coloring is salon owner, Mari Lu from Innovations Salon (Bird Rd. Miami).

Question #2: What tool do you use to wave/curl your hair?

I use the NuMe Classic Wand 32MM to create my signature waves every single day along with a titanium flat iron to straighten out any flyaways or bumps near the top part of my head.

Question #3: How did you get your job at Royal Caribbean & do you like working there?

Truth be told, there aren’t a lot of big companies in Miami, so I get bombarded with questions about RCL all the time. I was an intern on the Corporate Responsibility team for a year where I worked on event planning and communications projects. Recently, I’ve switched over to another department as an employee and I’m so happy to be back full-time, long time. It’s a huge company with countless learning opportunities and I have nothing but good things to say about the corporation.

Question #4: Where do you shop for clothes?

For the most part, most of my wardrobe is pretty affordable.

Online:

  • PrettyLittleThing

  • Forever 21

  • SHEIN

  • Princess Polly Boutique

  • Missguided

  • Windsor Store

In-person shopping:

  • ZARA

  • TJ-Maxx

  • Free People

  • Urban Outfitters

Question #5: How did you start a blog?

I’ve always taken an interest in anything beauty or fashion related. It wasn’t until college (I was a communications major) when I discovered that I love to write and create visual & written content. At the time, my friends and sorority sisters would come to me with questions about different beauty products because they knew I’d spend about 80% of my paychecks at Sephora. So in 2017 I decided to create my website where I could write reviews and talk about different brands I was using. When I first started blogging, my site’s focus was particularly based on beauty products until eventually I began incorporating fashion and lifestyle content.

To me, blogging is about using my own platform where I create written content using my fun and witty tone to talk about products, brands and trends I love. I don’t really consider Instagram a ‘blog’ because anyone can take a cute photo. Sorry if you’re offended. I think IG is a great tool but don’t think it’ll be around in 10 years.

Question #6: Who takes your photos/how do you shoot + edit?

My best friend Adri, my mom, my sister and my blogger friend Alina are usually around to take a good IG shot for me! I use my iphone 7 plus to take photos and edit with Lightroom presets from Etsy.
