Worst part of vacationing? Packing. It's seriously such a pain in the ass and I totally wish we could eliminate the entire process.
For starters, if you're going to over pack.... do so for your luggage, not your carry on.
There is nothing worse than carrying around a big bulky bag on the plane filled with a ton of junk you will most definitely not use.
No offense to anyone who does this but packing a face sheet mask for a plane ride is a perfect example of unnecessary packing. The best tip I can give is to pack as little as you can (at least for your carry on) and focus only on the essentials.
IN MY CARRY ON:
- Headphones (duh!)
- Phone charger/power bank
- Advil (other medications)
- Some toiletries (not a sheet mask!)
- Maybe a snack
- Any expensive jewelry I may not want to risk putting inside a luggage
- Neck pillow
IN MY LUGGAGE:
I usually try to limit my clothes to dresses or other light wear. I typically will only pack one pair of jeans as it is what takes up a lot of room in my luggage. For shoes, I try my best to be as realistic as possible. Obviously, trip length and destination are a huge factor here so I won't go into much detail.
WHAT I WEAR (on the plane):
Not jeans. I find leggings and sweaters/sweater dresses to be the most comfortable thing!
WHAT I PACK IN MY MAKEUP BAG:
All the essentials. I'm wearing lash extensions now so i'm able to skip mascara and eyeliner!
And that's about it! (almost)
